Newsletter Sponsor – Attorney Marc May:

Hello Frisco, I am a partner in the law firm of Gay, McCall, Isaacks, Gordon, May & Roberts, P.C. We are a full service firm that provides quality legal services in any type of civil matter. My practice is fairly evenly divided between family law and personal injury and commercial litigation matters.  I have been practicing law since 1980 and I have been Board Certified in family law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since l986.

During my career, I have represented hundreds of clients in divorce, property division, child support, visitation and custody, adoption, paternity, and other family law matters.  My past experience includes cases involving the valuation and division of clients’ ownership in many types of business entities. My practice also includes commercial and personal injury litigation.  These cases involve such things as automobile and construction site accidents, collection suits, foreclosure suits, partnership and corporate dissolution matters, and litigation relating to contractual disputes.

So what makes you different from your competition?

Upon acceptance of the case, I provide personal attention to each client from start to finish.   This includes open communication with my clients to achieve the best possible results.  As a husband and a father, I understand the possible emotional impact a family law matter can have on children.  Therefore, when the issues involve children, I work diligently to achieve a resolution that is in the best interest of the children.

I am very dedicated in my efforts to offer quality representation.  Therefore, my approach involves taking an aggressive stand when necessary.  At the same time, I understand the value of resolving legal disputes amicably if possible.  To that end, I often use Alternative Dispute Resolution methods such as mediation, in an attempt to negotiate a fair and equitable resolution for my clients.

My policy is to keep all clients fully informed to help them understand the potential consequences of any choice or legal action.  My clients and I work together to reach decisions designed to achieve the best possible outcome under the circumstances of each case.

How does someone find you?

My office is at 2500 Legacy Drive, Suite 204, Frisco.  This is at the corner of Legacy Drive and Stonebriar Drive.  I can be reached by telephone at 214-387-8501, or by email at mmay@ntexas-attorneys.com.   Information can also be obtained from my website www.friscofamilylaw.com

Everybody loves a special. Any special offer for newsletter readers?

I will give a $25.00 per hour discount off of my hourly fee, up to a maximum of $500.00, to any client who reaches me through your newsletter.

If you have a business, restaurant or a service and are interested in having your business highlighted or sponsoring this newsletter, which reaches more than 33,000 individuals and businesses in Frisco and the surrounding areas, please email us at sales@mattlafatamarketing.com for more details. The newsletter is also included on the web site www.mattlafatamarketing.com and www.frisco-online.com for additional exposure. The story begins as four golden tickets are found by the lucky few. As the doorway opens to the great mysterious factory, will those lucky few find all they dream of or…will lessons sorely in need of being learned be taught? The moment is tense. Out steps the mythical Charlie Wonka (Played by Jake Laviola) Ah, what a tall hat he wears. He wonders what each child will find inside? Set to the lyric rhymes of the Oompa–Loompas, each child finds…well…I’m afraid you’ll have to come and see the show yourself…

The director, Jesse Nichols, uses his many years of directing and acting experience to add his vision and flair to the story written by Richard R. George.

“I've been involved with many casts and I have to say that this wonderful group of actors have been by far the most talented and interested participants that I have had the pleasure to work with. I would consider it an honor to work with them again,” Says Director Jesse Nichols.

Miracle League of Frisco Fall Registration For Soccer and Baseball:

The Miracle League of Frisco has now opened the website for registration for our Fall Soccer and Baseball season.  Please visit www.friscomiracleleague.org to register.  For further questions regarding registration please contact Mitzi McHenry at mitzi_mchenry@yahoo.com

The Miracle League of Frisco is a non-profit organization that kicked off it's first season in the Spring of 2006.  In our inagrual season, we had 48 Special Needs children who blessed us with their smiles and laughter every Saturday while they played "America's Past Time".  You could always find a parent in the stands with tears of joy strolling down their face watching their child have the opportunity that was made possible by the dedication our players, parents, the community and all its volunteers.

The Miracle League of Frisco would also like to encourage any person 12 years or older, to get involved with their community and volunteer their time to become a "buddy" with the league.  You can also register to do this online and for further information, contact June Taylor at junetaylor402@yahoo.com

With the constant growth of our city, The Miracle League of Frisco hopes to match that pace with the support of corporate sponsors.  We are looking to double the amount of participants this Fall, and encourage any individual or corporation that is interested in supporting the dreams of these extraordinary children, to contact Cacy Saffery at cacysaff@sbcglobal.net.

Frisco Youth are Invited to a Youth Math Challenge Focusing on Water Use in the Home:

The Texas nonprofit, Onebranch.org makes it debut in Frisco by offering a Youth Math Challenge on Water Use in the Home to Frisco Youth.

The Texas nonprofit Onebranch.org has a working hypothesis for Frisco – “Fresh Ideas Flourish in Frisco”

Why Now, Why Frisco? –

For the last five years, Onebranch has been researching science and math resources and looking for ways to encourage youth participation in community issues. With Board members in various Texas towns, Onebranch spends their time visiting libraries, creating supplemental learning materials and offering their research and materials to cities in Texas.

Several of the board members live near Frisco, and the founder moved here a few months ago from Austin, TX. “Everywhere we go, we try to share our resources and encourage events that involve people in community issues,” said a spokesperson for Onebranch.org

Two prizes will be award in the Youth Math Challenge, which is ongoing until August 15, 2006, with a deadline for responses set at August 20, 2006.

Math Challenge Cards have been being handed out around town and details are also available in the e-science room at www.onebranch.org. The Challenge questions include starting with a gallon of water, carrying it to get a sense of its weight, then solving equations to determine how much a 30 gallon bath would weigh and how much a ten gallon bath would weigh. From there, participating Youth are asked to look at ways their family can save water in the home and share their insights, including interviewing older family members like grandpa and grandma.

The goals of the challenge are to reduce water consumption, encourage youth ideas, and encourage families to collectively find creative solutions to issues that affect the whole community.

“We have a hunch that Frisco Youth has great ideas, and we want them to have a opportunity to express those ideas,” said Lisa Westbrook, Onebranch Event Coordinator and facilitator of community participation.  Several Frisco volunteers have been handing out cards, and helping get the word out about the challenge.

For more information, please contact onebranch.org at 214 705-8220
